1. Bandipur Safari Zone

Why visit: The park’s primary attraction, the safari offers a chance to spot tigers, elephants, and leopards in their natural habitat.

Highlights: – Jeep and bus safaris – Trained naturalist guides – Chance to see wild cats, gaurs, and deer – Birdwatching opportunities

Timing: 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Entry: ₹300–₹2,500 per person (based on vehicle type)

 

2. Gopalaswamy Betta

Why visit: This mist-covered hilltop with a 14th-century temple offers panoramic views of the forest and is the highest point in the park.

Highlights: – Peaceful Sri Venugopala Swamy temple – Scenic drive to the summit – Ideal for photography – Wildlife sightings along the way

Timing: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Entry: ₹50 for entry, ₹100 for parking

 

3. Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple

Why visit: Located on Gopalaswamy Betta, this sacred site is often enveloped in mist and draws pilgrims and nature lovers alike.

4. Bandipur Forest Reception Center

Why visit: This is the starting point for safaris and provides important information about the park's flora, fauna, and safety protocols.

Timing: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

5. Moyar Gorge Viewpoint
